Welcome to Eye of the Wild

Photographs from a lifetime of travel and a long-running fascination with wild animals, birds, and the places where the light does something worth remembering. African wildlife, birds along the California coast, and landscapes and seascapes from around the world. Photography is a hobby for me, not a profession — but it's one I've taken seriously for a long time, and the images here are the ones I keep coming back to.

African Wildlife

Up close with the magnificent creatures
that roam the African wild.

Birds in Flight (or not)

A celebration of birds, caught in quiet moments and breathless ones alike.

Landscapes and Seascapes

Wide open spaces, golden light, and the kind of stillness a photograph can hold forever.
